Immediate Agent Registration: We've updated the Almanac service to ensure both local and hosted agents register instantly with the Agentverse Almanac, streamlining the integration process and eliminating delays caused by contract transaction indexing.
Enhanced Message Reliability: Modifications have been made to retry received messages to avoid occasional message drops.
UI Enhancements and Privacy Compliance: Extensive cleanup of the user interface improves navigation and interaction, paired with the addition of a cookie consent feature to align with privacy regulations.
Robust Timeout and Monitoring Systems: Implementation of a timeout system and a watchdog mechanism enhances monitoring of timeouts for non-responsive agents or users, ensuring system reliability.
Infrastructure Upgrades: Transition to the latest version of dependencies, setup of elastic cloud services, and migration to more robust databases.
Next Generation Capabilities: This release replaces Weaviate with Elasticsearch in the Next Generation personality, improving response times and API interactions. New API endpoints facilitate analytics and function management, enhancing backend operations.
Database and Deployment Improvements: The separation of Postgres, Redis, and RabbitMQ from the main deployment to use operator-based deployments enhances performance and monitoring capabilities.
With v0.24, we achieve feature parity between the Next Generation personality (ai-engine v2) and the outgoing Talkative personality (ai-engine v1). Our new AI Engine backend is not only more scalable and fault-tolerant but also supports seamless, downtime-free upgrades. This ensures that no AI Engine session is lost, even if a service disruption occurs.
With this release, we are deprecating the Talkative personality (ai-engine v1). In the forthcoming release (v0.25), the Next Generation will be renamed to Talkative and set as the default option. We encourage all users to switch to the Next Generation now to benefit from its enhanced capabilities and seamless user experience.
